Andy Mayer

Andy Mayer is a PMTS in the Domain 2.0 Integration group at AT&T. Before joining AT&T, Andy served as MEF’s Chief Architect for Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO), and was Principal Systems Engineer at Applied Communication Sciences (formerly Telcordia / Bellcore) for over 29 years. He is a leading expert and trusted adviser in service orchestration, network management, and policy based management for connectivity data services and advanced technologies, including SDN and NFV. Participating in the MEF since 2002, Andy served as editor of the Carrier Ethernet Management Information Model (MEF 7), Requirements for Management of Metro Ethernet Network Elements (MEF 15), ENNI Support for UNI Tunnel Access and Virtual UNI (MEF 28), and Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) Reference Architecture and Framework (MEF 55) specifications, as well as The Third Network: Lifecycle Service Orchestration Vision whitepaper. He is currently involved in the development of LSO phase 2 in the MEF, supporting the new generation of agile, orchestrated and assured connectivity services. Dr. Mayer holds a BS from Purdue University, as well as a MS and Ph.D. from Stevens Institute of Technology.
