VP Network Strategy, The Linux Foundation; Director, OPEN-O Project

Marc Cohn is Vice President of Network Strategy for The Linux Foundation based in Silicon Valley, where is leading the OPEN-O open source orchestration project that offers operators end-to-end service orchestration, bridging the gap between NFV, SDN, and legacy services.

Marc has been a major contributor to the Software Defined Networking community. He served as the Market Area Director for the Open Networking Foundation (ONF), and was appointed the third ONF Fellow. He also served as the sole Silver Member representative on the OpenDaylight Board of Directors, where he was elected Treasurer. Marc advised the Chair of the ETSI NFV ISG on Communications, and edits the NFV Insider series on SDxCentral, one of the most popular Blogs on NFV.

Prior to joining the Linux Foundation, Marc was Senior Vice President at ClearPath Networks, and was formerly the outbound face for Ciena’s SDN strategy.
