Tariq Rafique has over 20 years of experience in network design and architecture, encompassing managing LAN/WAN networks for large enterprise users and designing IP/MPLS networks for Tier-1 ISPs. He is currently providing leadership in the development of an SDN-NFV orchestration system that will enable Zayo to provision services across the physical and virtual infrastructure consistently, accurately, and faster. His recent contributions include designing and deployment of an Ethernet-IP MPLS converged core network to address customer needs for mission critical applications and high bandwidth connectivity to cloud, and building a DWDM based solution for 100GE datacenter interconnects. He has been involved in MEF for several years with the goal of improving customer experience with Ethernet services in a multi-vendor and multi-domain environment.
