Michael Kearns is an ICT innovation & technology entrepreneur with a proven track record (20+ years) leading successful Orchestration, OSS, Network Management & Control Software Systems development companies & teams. He currently is Vice President of Open Source Ecosystems at Huawei responsible for Innovation and Industry Engagement of both Open Source and Commercial Orchestration and Management software solutions. Michael was a key contributor to the successful launch of OPEN-O open source orchestrator project which Huawei is a founding member of.

Prior to joining Huawei Michael was CEO & co-founder of Amartus, a leading innovator in advanced meta-model driven Service Orchestration & Management software solutions (Amartus Chameleon SDS™ technology & team acquired by Huawei in July ‘15). Prior to Amartus Michael was the Head of Product Strategy for Data  Network Management & OSS solutions at Marconi Communications.

Michael is a regular speaker and contributor at leading industry conferences and standards bodies. Michael graduated from University College Dublin in 1992 with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science.
